The Australian and NSW governments are upgrading The Northern Road as part of the Western Sydney Infrastructure Plan (WSIP), a $4.1 billion road investment program.

Id Planning team members were embedded by the contractor, Lendlease as the Stakeholder and Communications Managers for Stage 2 (The Northern Road and Bringelly Road upgrades) and Stage 3 (Glenmore Parkway to Jamison Road) to provide strategic advice on community issues, to develop a community approach and strategy for key project activities including the closure of the M4 for bridge demolition works, to provide day to day management of community engagement activities in line with the construction program and to act as the liaison with the client (Transport for NSW) on all communications activities for the projects.
